As his body stopped and froze, Sabo instinctively looked up at the sky.. looking at the speckle of light shining through the night sky. It was bright.. and also a bit strange... This sensation does tell him that it definitely wasn't the sun. The colors in his eyes just illuminated and turned that light from a light gray to a bright yellow. The night sky was then ... turned into a shade of dark blue. Very eerie.
But as soon as the light disappeared.. he questioned what even happened? Did a star burn out? Was he just imagining things? The color didn't.. disappear then, and Sabo was just a bit startled on even why he's only starting to see these vibrant colors now.
It was then he saw Ace's body falling towards him. It was dark at night, but there was a lamp at the boat to see a bit of the night scene. Even if it didn't spread the light wide enough, he could subtly tell that a human body was falling toward him. He holds out his arms for the body that fell. He gripped onto the body as soon as he caught the brother, not even paying attention that it was him because well the weight of his arms was almost sudden. He closed his eyes for that moment when he felt the weight on his arms.]
That's got to be heavy.. what are the chances someone would just fall out of the sky in the middle of the ni-
[It was then he noticed who he he had in his arms. His eyes just laid open, his pupils dilated from the sight that he's almost in tears. This human being.. this black haired brood.. was Ace. The brother he knew. The brother he thought he would never meet again. He knew, as soon as he saw that face. It was colorful. His complexion, his garments... were all in color. In some kind of mysterious miracle that would only happen in fairy tales.... it was truly some kind of fate.]
Ace?! [In a much surprised tone, very loud in fact! Sabo, you're lucky the others are pretty much knocked out. Though it might be a different case for Ace..]
Which is weird, because he shouldn't be alive, but... He could tell he was dreaming somehow. Probably because he was dreaming of his childhood, but of things he didn't quite remember. Like something was off about them.
They were exploring like usual, Ace, Sabo, and Luffy, but it ended up differently than what he remembered. Ace, as a child, fell down and hit his head, while a small Sabo went to grab him and hold him in his arms, worried.
The dream then shifted to them older, though Ace knew (well, thought) that wasn't possible, and now they're adults, and Sabo's holding him, and--
Did someone just call his name?
The loud, surprised voice does wake up the freckled man. He stirs first, moving his head slightly. Slowly opening his eyes (which should be impossible), he stares at the other man holding him in his arms. He blinks in bewilderment, and then notices something. The colors.
He swallows hard as he remembers. He had never seen in color since he was around Sabo, and now he could see the deep blue of this man's jacket, the golden hair, the color of his skin... The red scar around one of his eyes. Even the colors of the night sky and the ship they were on. Ace didn't know what ship it was, even, but... This man. He reminds him of Sabo. So he blurts it out as he just stares tiredly at him.]
Sa...bo?
[But this should be impossible, too. Unless they were in heaven. Or... whatever afterlife they believe in. But then why is Sabo older now?
But then he realized this might not be Sabo, which makes him try to mouth something as he stands up straight, resting one hand on the man's shoulder for balance... But he doesn't take it away. For some reason he seems drawn to him.
Ace stares into those brilliant blue eyes of his. No... This must be Sabo. There were so many clues pointed towards it. He looks like him, first of all, even though his hair is longer. Secondly, there's something that just makes Ace feel like saying, yes this is Sabo. Thirdly, and probably most importantly, he's seeing colors around him. That only happened with one person...
He finally says something, in a hushed tone, though it's not much. Forgive him, Sabo, he's still sleepy and can't comprehend words right now.]
